Welcome back Intake 2014 and God Bless you on your mission!

We have been so blessed to journey with all of these amazing missionaries. We miss you all so much and we can't wait to see you this week! Faustina and Adele can't wait to meet you! We are praying for your safe travels. See you soon!

This week was wet and rainy in Louisiana. It gave us some time to start packing for Peru. At first when Taylor started packing I looked at him and thought we have plenty of time to do this but then I realized that it is already January. I guess I lost track of time after the girls were born. Thank you Lord for giving me such an amazing husband!

This week the rest of the Intake 2014 missionaries will be heading back to Big Woods before heading out to their mission posts. Most of them will be leaving at the end of this week and the beginning of next week. Wow! How exciting for them. I can't imagine what they are all feeling right now.

One funny thing that happened this week involved Leo. On Thursday we explained to the kids that it is a new year. Leo looked at us and told us it can't be. We were supposed to go to Peru. Once we told him that we are still going to Peru he was ok with the new year.

What do you do when it is rainy and wet? A movie marathon. Star Wars anyone? The kids love snuggling with us and eating popcorn on days like this. I bet this is exactly what we would be doing this week in WI. I hear it is going to be -65 there. We are so thankful to be here where it is 65 and rainy.

The video below is of a science experiment we did last January when it was -43. Just thought everyone would like to see what we do when we can't go outside to play because it is too cold.~ Katie
